Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her acting career began by playing supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). Then, she portrayed the role as reporter Willa McPherson in FX's show Dirt. Also, she played an important role in FX's short-lived series The Ex List. In the first season, she played the part of Moira O'Hara as an untried Moira as well as in the season 2 she was Kaylee. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voiced a number of characters from the animated comedy series of Family Guy. Since 2019, she has starred in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother at the age of 10. The family moved around for one year before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge became attracted to acting, photography, and singing at age 13. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 years old, to pursue a career in acting.
